LEARN is based in Nagoya, Japan.
Purpose:
A venue for language educators to discuss research.
Possible topics for discussion: research design, data gathering methods, ethics and gaining entry, statistics, transcription conventions, data analysis, conversation analysis, CAQDAS (computer-aided qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo), writing up research for publication, and more.
Regular Monthly Meetings:
Saturday morning, 10am-12:30pm (usually the third Saturday of every second month)
*Followed by lunch for those interested*
Special Workshops:
Offered occasionally by LEARN members and invited speakers.
